The hotel is located in walking distance from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque 🕌 in the Sultanahmet district. The rooftop terrace has a nice 360 view of the surrounding area included the mosques and the Bosporus. A great location if you want to be in that area.The rooms are well maintained, very clean and cozy. The bed comfortable and spacious. We put our suitcases by the window and it was easy to navigate around them but if you want a super large room then book accordingly.The breakfast was great with a good variety of choices, some remaining constant throughout (the selection of cheeses, olives etc) and some things changing. If you want to eat on the terrace, you can ask to have your food brought up (I saw someone complained about having to carry it up but obviously they hadn’t thought to ask). In addition, yes you do have to pay for coffee (outside of filtered coffee) but at the price (for the coffee and the hotel itself) and quality, I think this is reasonable and have seen this before. When we went to the terrace, someone came directly to ask for our drink order.The staff are friendly and helpful. Although besides checking in/out, ordering drinks at breakfast and saying hello on our way in/out, we are relatively easy guests who wandered around on our own.

Ich habe hier nicht übernachtet, sondern lediglich ein paar Mal Kaffee und Tee getrunken. Und mit dem Manager erzählt. Über Ara Güler und die Istanbuler Katzen. Über Dan Browns Inferno und den leider geschlossenen Versunkenen Palast (der auch als Cisterna Basilica bekannt ist). Das war hochinteressant, und die Atmosphäre im Hotelcafé hat mir auch gefallen. Ich kann mir gut vorstellen, beim nächsten Istanbul-Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel zu übernachten. Zumal es mit seiner Nähe zum Topkapi-Palast und der Hagia Sophia ohnehin eine Reihe von Vorteilen bietet.
